I agree 100%. My point was that (example) just bause Taurenan stun me for a few sonds doesn't mean that if they get in melee with me I will lose. Rials are quite noteable yes, but there's still plenty of room to oveome them with, as you hinted at, strategy and skill.

I agree 100%. My point was that (example) just bause Taurenan stun me for a few sonds doesn't mean that if they get in melee with me I will lose. Rials are quite noteable yes, but there's still plenty of room to oveome them with, as you hinted at, strategy and skill.

Hey everyone. I've rently stowed away my frequently-frowned-upon ret set and I've been tinkering around with the other two dilines while spending silly money and badges getting both sets of gear up to snuff. I noted thatomparing holy vs. prot, I have an easier time soloing my dailies as holyompared to prot. Holy has a larger mana pool and beautiful abilities like holy shk and high spell-damagerits thatan drop kills surprisingly quk. I find myself killing off 3 or 4 solo mobs before drinking, and they all die very fast. Now I knowledge t...

I've rently stowed away my frequently-frowned-upon ret set and I've been tinkering around with the other two dilines while spending silly money and badges getting both sets of gear up to snuff. it takes the same amount of effert to kill 10 mobs as it does to kill 1 mob, thats pretty mh the only thing Prot has going for it. however, if youant find 10 mobs to kill at oe, there is little point. questing was never good for prot. prot was all about "grinding". for questing, your better off with another sp.
Questing as prot isn't as fast as any real 'dps'lass, but it does help if you use max spell dam gear as you don't need to be uritableurushable for normal mobs. I run dailys with about 700 spell dam and they go plenty fast, although you do end up drinking a bit more. Well maybe not the frequey, just...

Aye, it's pretty bad being prot sp for dailies. The gathering and bombing ones are easy enough with your flying mount, but anything that involves killing things, espially the ones that involve a drop rate plan sk. Skettis dailies are easy, when bombing youan't be knked off your bird at all and the prisoner one is a pie ofake. I don't go there so mh now that you don't get free potions though. Ogrila is a mix; Simon I find boring, bombing is easy, banish is good if others aren't farming as youan aoe pull 5-6 mobs at oe, and tethering netherays is good as lo...

Youould always try prot til about 60. It's ne to be able to kill 6-8 melee mobs in the time it takes a ret paladin to kill 2. Not to mention with sealjudgement of wisdom youan end the fight at 100% mana, throw a heal on yourself, and pull the next group. A lot of people say ret is better after 60, espially oe you start getting some of those ne early, strstamcrit or strstamagi quest rewards in Outland. I have dided to stay prot all the way to 70 and haven't noted that I kill slowly, but maybe that's bause Ian still pull 5-6 melee mobs and ...

uhh, get a 2h....
Youan mh more easilyrank your holy damage than youan you white damage. Get a weapon with more spell damage on it if you want to output more damage. Also, remember that yoururrent weapon has a 1.8 weapon speed, so the white damage you'll see is small. BUT - It hits more often. If all you want to see is large white damage that makes you feel better, then get a slower weapon :)
